IPC Capabilities
As an IPP, the Company’s primary activity is the efficient production of electricity in efficient and environmentally responsible power plants. The Company develops power facilities that sell the electricity produced to third parties such as industrial companies that use the electricity themselves or wholesalers/distributors that take responsibility for collecting payment from retail customers or counterparties.
IPC has thirty specialist engineers available for its operations and maintenance contracts and for developing new plant capacity. These specialist engineers have typically worked in the past for the Britain’s Central Electricity Generating Board (CEGB) and for National Power PLC, formerly England’s largest power generator.
IPC’s capabilities fall into six broad categories:
- Operations and Maintenance (O&M)
- Engineering Planning and Design
- Financial Modelling
- Contract Negotiation
- Regulatory and Despatch Assessment
- Analysis and Procurement of Carbon Credits for Power Projects
IPC is recognized as a pre-qualified technical operator by nearly all the international development banks including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
